The days leading up to our first session were filled with excitement and anticipation. I spent so much time finalizing details, from selecting the perfect location to coordinating outfits. But as much as I was looking forward to the shoot itself, I was also eager to connect with the seniors beforehand. This is where things got a little tricky…
Tech Struggles: GroupMe, You Had One Job! 📱
When it comes to group communication, GroupMe is usually my go-to platform. However, it seemed like it had other plans for us that day. The app was being a bit temperamental, and connecting with each person in the group was way more difficult than I expected. Messages weren’t sending, notifications were delayed, and trying to get everyone on the same page became a challenge. But hey, we’re all about overcoming obstacles, right?
I stayed persistent and made sure everyone was still able to communicate through email or other means when needed. Thankfully, once the shoot started, all the tech troubles were forgotten as the girls started showing up and the energy shifted into full excitement mode.
Meeting the Senior Reps: A Group Full of Life! ⚡
Despite the GroupMe hiccups, the moment the girls arrived, all the struggles melted away. Each senior brought their unique energy, and it was clear they were ready to make the most of this day. From fun props to personal style, they each brought something special, and I could already tell this was going to be a shoot to remember.
As we kicked things off with some warm-up photos, the nervousness of the tech troubles quickly faded. The girls were laughing, bonding, and becoming fast friends, which was exactly what I had hoped for.
Behind the Scenes: Real Moments, Real Fun 🎬
One of the best things about a senior rep session is capturing the real moments—the behind-the-scenes stuff that shows the true personalities of the group. While I was busy taking the official shots, my assistant was capturing candid moments, from funny poses to sweet interactions between the girls.
And yes, we still made sure to capture some behind-the-scenes footage for social media! Even though GroupMe gave us some issues, I made sure to share the fun moments with everyone online, giving them a sneak peek into the day’s events.
The Photoshoot: Confidence, Creativity, and Stunning Shots 📸
Once the shoot began, all the girls showed up as total pros. We played around with creative poses, group shots, and even some action-packed jumping photos. There were moments when we had to pause, adjust, and improvise, but that’s all part of the fun.
The golden hour gave us the most magical lighting, and we captured some absolutely stunning portraits. The Class of 2025 was truly on fire, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group to kick off my senior rep program with!
The Parents: A Heartwarming Show of Support 📣
I have to mention how amazing the parents were too. Seeing the seniors’ families show up, cheering them on, and helping with final adjustments was a heartwarming reminder of how important this experience is for everyone. They were just as excited about the session as the girls were, and that sense of support made the day even more memorable.
Wrapping It Up: Overcoming Obstacles and Looking Ahead 🎉
While we had a few tech troubles along the way, they didn’t define the day. In the end, the Class of 2025 senior rep session was a complete success, full of laughter, stunning photos, and memories that will last a lifetime. I’m so grateful for each and every one of my reps for making this day so special, despite the tech struggles!
